Green Flag Award Nominations

Nominations due by October 15

Do you have a NAWGJ member who is an unsung hero or has made unique contributions to our organization, promotes professionalism, or demonstrates leadership that you would like to recognize? She/he could be a candidate for the Green Flag Award. This award may be given at the state and regional level annually and at the national level every four years. (This award need not be given every year.)

If there are nominees at the state level, they will be sent to the SJD. The SGB will choose one recipient from their membership. The SJD will forward their recipient to the RJD. The RGB will choose a regional recipient. Regional recipients will be forwarded to the NGB. A national recipient will be chosen the year of the National Symposium from the pool of all regional recipients from the previous four years.

To submit a nomination complete this form and send it to insjdpat@gmail.com by October 15, 2025. The Indiana state Green Flag Award winner will be announced at Indiana Judges Cup and recognized at the Indiana USAG and NGA banquets.

Mission

The mission of the National Association of Women Gymnastics Judges is to provide professional development for its members and to support and promote women’s gymnastics in the United States.

This Mission will be accomplished by:

  • Providing the membership with education, communication, and representation.
  • Contracting Officials to various organizations with gymnastics programs upon request.
  • Providing other services to the gymnastics community.

Goals

The National Association of Women’s Gymnastics Judges works at the local, state, regional and national levels of the United States, servicing the gymnastics community and its judges.

The goals of the NAWGJ are:

  • Teaching and training its members thereby promoting judging excellence.
  • Functioning as a service organization to the entire gymnastics community.
  • Disseminating judging information.
  • Assigning officials to competitions.
  • Promoting interest in the sport of gymnastics
